Kerjasama: Indigenous Artist in Residence 2016
Asialink Arts Residency Laboratory
Alice Springs | Yogyakarta
Kerjasama or ‘Collaborate’ is a residency model launched in 2014 through Asialink’s Arts Residency Laboratory. It was developed in response to significant interest from Asian artists to experience regional Australia and increase their understanding of Indigenous artistic traditions and communities. Kerjasama is a crucial platform for Asialink to increase awareness of the Arts Residency Program to Indigenous applicants, and a means of supporting reciprocal residencies for Indonesian artists to Australia who have no governmental support.
Albert and Indonesian artist Timoteus Anggawan Kusno will spend six weeks together at Artback NT in Alice Springs before heading to Cemeti Art House in Yogyakarta.
